How pay works

Pay, written down

The job ad states the rate. Here is what is behind it.

  • Hourly, posted up front

Every job ad has the starting rate in it, and it does not change between interview and offer.

  • Overtime after 40 hours

Weekend and night installs are paid as overtime when they run past 40 hours.

  • A skills check, then a raise

A check at 90 days against a written list of skills sets the next rate.

  • Paid training

Learning the grinders and the systems is paid time, not unpaid ride-alongs.
